ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE
The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control tasked by the Prime Minister to determine regions and areas to resume international commercial passenger flights.
MEASURES
- The consideration included regions or areas to be without new COVID-19 community infection for consecutively 30 days.
- The selection is based on safety criteria, as well as political and diplomatic importance.
- Guangzhou, Taiwan, Seoul, Tokyo, Laos and Cambodia are the potential international air routes that the country is considering.
- The Prime Minister also requested for the preparation work on the quarantine rules for passengers onboard these flights.
- The government continues with preparation efforts to build Vietnam as a “safe destination”.
- As part of the efforts to cope with post-pandemic economic recovery, the government is digitalising administrative procedures, including the use of e-documents and e-reports through the National Public Service Portal that was introduced prior to the pandemic.
- According to the Government Decision 45/2020/NĐ-CP that was signed on 8 April 2020 on the implementation of administrative procedures in the electronic environment, online procedures can be recognised by governmental agencies. A better recognition helps to reduce red tape, paperwork for businesses and as a result, promote online transactions as well as the digital economy.
