ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE
Exports of agricultural products potentially impacted with tightening of import regulations in foreign countries.
MEASURES
- Recently, China has been tightening food safety inspection, quarantine and traceability for imported goods, especially on fresh, chilled and processed agricultural products, meat and seafood to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has a list of requirements for foreign enterprises that export food into the market.
- The tightening of control could affect Vietnam’s exports of agricultural products, especially fruits and this calls for local agricultural industry to be aware of the requirements and comply accordingly.
