Country borders remain closed for international tourists.
- Further assessment is needed from the government on regional and international situations are required to decide on the reopening of borders and resumption of international flights as a second wave is seen in some Asian countries.
- With this recent announcement from the government, this makes the resumption of international flights on 1 July as previously planned by Vietnamese carriers unlikely to take place.
- Exemptions are given for foreign experts, high level workers and investors where this group of travellers are allowed into the country but are required to be monitored closely. A more flexible quarantine policies can be catered for, such as a shortened quarantine and expedited paperwork.
