  • On 29 July, the Japanese government announced that Japan and China agreed to work towards resuming mutual travel. Currently, the travel ban is in place in Japan for 146 countries and regions. Foreign travellers who have been visiting to any of the 146 countries and regions in the past 14 days are banned to enter Japan. The details of resuming mutual travel will be announced in due course.
  • At the same time, the Japan’s Health Ministry announced the first nationwide survey to study how the COVID-19 has affected mental health. The online survey is expected to be performed possibly August and it is estimated to be done with 10,000 people in Japan.
