ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE
Travel bubbles to return in New Zealand.
MEASURES
- New Zealand (NZ) is mulling an oceanic “shipping bubble”, after a third coronavirus-riddled ship docked in NZ on 21 July 2021. The “bubble” would restrict shipping to certain countries and it mandates shipping crews to be fully vaccinated.
- On 15 July 2021, NZ announced it was pausing quarantine-free travel from Victoria, Australia. The pause means anyone who has been in Victoria after 1:59am (NZT) on 16 July cannot travel to NZ from any state in Australia, until further notice.
