China: Three industry sanitation standards have been issued

Three industry sanitation standards have been issued.

MEASURES

• On 23 February 2021, the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China issued the following industry sanitation standards:
  • Standard of field disinfection evaluation during COVID-19 epidemic (in Mandarin)
    • The standard stipulates the evaluation principles of on-site disinfection, evaluation of disinfection process, evaluation of effectiveness of disinfection, etc.
    • Article 7.3 stipulates that the COVID-19 nucleic acid test couldn’t indicate if the viruses are alive or dead and result of COVID19 nucleic acid test can’t be used in the evaluation of the effectiveness of disinfection.
  •  Evaluation standard for disinfection effect on 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in laboratory (in Mandarin)
    • The standard specifies the basic requirements for the test of evaluating effectiveness of disinfection in laboratory, virus inactivation test, precautionary measures, etc.
  •  Specification for environmental monitoring of SARS-CoV-2 in agriculture product markets and trade markets (in Mandarin)
    • The document specifies monitoring requirements and methods of SARS-CoV-2 in agriculture product markets and trade markets
