RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE
The Taiwan CECC raised epidemic warning to Level 3 and implemented related restrictions and measures.
MEASURES
- On 11 May 2021, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) raised the epidemic warning to Level 2: Local Cases of Unknown Sources, from 11 May 2021 to 8 June 2021. Some of the following restrictions and measures implemented are as follows:
- Organizes of gatherings and activities, business owners, public venue management units and food and beverage service owners should adopt measures that ensure social distancing and mask-wearing, use partitions, keep a record of participants’ contact information, take temperatures, sanitize environments, and institute crowd flow control, capacity limits and route arrangement.
- Outdoors activities of more than 500 people and indoor activities of more than 100 people shall be cancelled. However, such events may still be held after submitting disease prevention plans to the local regulatory authority and obtaining permission.
- Consumption of food and beverages is prohibited on Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) trains, Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) trains, and intercity buses.
- On 15 May 2021, CECC raised the epidemic warning to Level 3 for Taipei City and New Taipei City from 15 May 2021 to 28 May 2021. Some of the restrictions and measures implemented are as follows:
- Organizes of gatherings and activities, business owners, public venue management units and food and beverage service owners should adopt measures that ensure social distancing and mask-wearing, use partitions, keep a record of participants’ contact information, take temperatures, sanitize environments, and institute crowd flow control, capacity limits and route arrangement.
- Closure of leisure and entertainment venues, sports and exhibition venues, and educational facilities.
- All gatherings involving over 5 people indoors and 10 people outdoors are suspended.
- Food and beverage vendors should use epidemic prevention measures.
- Business venues, workplaces, weddings and funerals shall implement epidemic prevention measures such as social distancing
and enhanced disinfection.
- On 19 May 2021, CECC raised the epidemic warning to Level 3 nationwide from 19 May 2021 to 28 May 2021.
