RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE
Travel bubble strategy put on hold with resurgence of COVID-19 cases.
MEASURES
- There has been discussion regarding travel bubble arrangements with countries such as China, Japan and South Korea.
- Due to the spike in infections that are seen, the travel bubble arrangement will be delayed for further monitoring on the developments of the situation.
- Separately, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) issued recommendations to allow for exemptions for 11 types of travellers into the country, including Thai nationals, foreigners in need of medical treatment, foreigners who are studying in Thailand with approval from authorities, foreigners with work permit or have been granted permission by the authorities.
