RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE 

On 13 August, the economic situation administration center was formed to address the economic impact from COVID-19.

MEASURES

  • The economic situation administration center will be chaired by the Prime Minister and the secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) will take on the role of the secretary.
  • The center’s primary task is to promote country’s economic recovery plan and propose solutions to overcome economic constraints and oversee the government’s economic recovery efforts.
  • The center is made up of 22 committees, representatives from the ministry of economy, interior and labour. The committee also includes the the Bank of Thailand and the leaders of three of the large private-sector firms.
