RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE
Extended lockdown in dark-red zone of 29 provinces until 31 August.
MEASURES
- As of 16 August 2021, Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) decided to extend existing COVID-19 restriction until 31 August 2021. Additional measures to be rolled out in dark-red zone provinces which include the following:
- “Bubble-and-seal” method for factories with over 100 workers
- More checks with antigen test kits (ATKs) at wholesale markets, crowded public spaces and other high risk venues
- Introduction of COVID pass
- Expedited medical support to individuals tested positive
- CCSA announced that restrictions will be eased for banking and other financial services at shopping malls, starting from 18 August.
- Maximum restrictions and a nightly curfew from 9pm to 4am are being applied in dark-red zone of 29 central provinces, including Bangkok.
