Taiwan CECC announced to maintain Level 2 Epidemic Alert

MEASURES

  • On 24 January 2022, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it will maintain the Level 2 epidemic alert until 7 February 2022.
  • A summary of the measures under Level 2 epidemic alert is given below:
    • Masks must be worn at all times when outside, except for:
      • When individuals in the agriculture, forestry, fishing, and animal husbandry sectors are working in open spaces (such as farm fields, fish ponds, forests and mountains);
      • When in forests and mountains (including forest recreation areas) and on the beach;
      • When in places where masks can get wet easily;
      • When consuming food and beverages outside;
      • When in venues or during activities (but only temporarily) that comply with epidemic prevention and control rules.
    • Commercial business venues and public venues should implement contact information registration, take temperatures, enhance disinfection of premises, carry out health management among staff, and implement timely responses to the occurrence of confirmed cases
