ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE
Daily curfew continues in place.
MEASURES
- Starting from 6 June onwards, curfew will be implemented from 11:00pm to 04:00am daily until further notice. The economic and social activities operate as usual during the non-curfew hours with the adherence to the issued Guidelines.
- The travels between districts are permitted except for the districts of Colombo and Gampaha.
- In addition, starting from 22 May 2020, the special commodity levy on at least 26 varieties of products has been increased for the next six months. The levy has been increased for a wide range of products, including yogurt, big onions, garlic, dhal, margarine, canned fish, sugar and fruits. The prices of these items have been observed in rising after the taxes imposed.
