Sri Lanka announced stricter restrictions as Delta variant spreads.

MEASURES

  • On 15 August 2021, it was reported that Sri Lankan government will tighten measures as Delta variant spreads.
  • The tightened measures include
    • All public gatherings will be banned;
    • Restaurants are only allowed to operate at 50% capacity;
    • Wedding will be banned;
    • Night curfew will be effective from 10:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
