ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE

The government continues efforts in controlling the spread of COVID-19.

UPDATES

  • On 8 June, the Korea Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (KCDC) reported that the recent COVID-19 transmissions occurred through different events, including religious gatherings, club meetings, door-to-door sales group meetings in Seoul Metropolitan Region. The KCDC advised people to continue practice mask wearing, frequent hand washing and physical distancing in daily routine.
  • In addition, the residents of the Seoul Metropolitan Region are advised to postpone social gatherings or use non-face-to-face alternatives for meetings. Also, they are advised to avoid visit venues such as restaurants and night bar.
  • On 8 June, the final phase of school reopening has been completed with students in middle school grade 1 and elementary school grades 5-6 returning to schools. KCDC advised that the reopening of school shall continue adhering to the COVID-19 prevention measures in schools which issued by KCDC.
