ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE

Stricter social distancing imposed for the Greater Seoul (Level 2.5) and nationwide (Level 2; excluding Greater Seoul)).

 

 

 

MEASURES

  • Starting from 8 December, social distancing measures have been tightened for Greater Seoul and nationwide (excluding Greater Seoul).
  • The Greater Seoul has been placed under Level 2.5 while nationwide has been placed at Level 2.
  • The enforcement comes into place on 8 December and it will be effective for 3 weeks. All the activities shall comply with the requirements announced by the government.
  • Under Level 2, the restrictions imposed, including but not limited to
    • Events involving 100 people or more will be prohibited.
    • Indoor dining is not permitted for coffee shops and cafes. (Only delivery and takeaway are permitted)
    • Restaurants are only allowed to provide foods through delivery and takeaway after 0900pm
    • The attendance cap for kindergartens, primary schools and middle schools will be one-third of total students while attendance cap for high schools is placed at two-thirds of students.
    • Spectator admission is restricted to 10% of maximum number of people per stadium.
  • Under Level 2.5 social distancing, the restrictions imposed, including but not limited to
    • Events involving 50 people or more will be prohibited.
    • Indoor dining is not permitted for coffee shops and cafes. (Only delivery and takeaway are permitted)
    • Restaurants are only allowed to provide foods through delivery and takeaway after 0900pm
    • The attendance cap for all schools will be one-third of total students.
    • No spectator is allowed to watch sports activities at the stadium.
  • Starting from 15 December, all schools in the capital region have been ordered to be closed until end of the month. The classes can
    only be conducted online. Meanwhile, the government is considering to place the Level 3 for the country as the reported cases surge.
