ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE

Social distancing has been extended for metropolitan areas (Level 2) and non-metropolitan areas (Level 1.5).

MEASURES

  • On 12 March 2021, it was reported that the South Korean government has decided to extend the social distancing rule. The enforcement will be effective from 15 March to 28 March 2021. All the activities shall comply with the requirements released by the government.
  • Under Level 2, the restrictions imposed, including but not limited to:
    • Prohibition of private/non-essential gatherings for 5 people, with exceptions stipulated in the requirements
    • Events involving 100 people or more will be prohibited.
    • Restaurants and cafes are allowed to serve food and beverage until 22:00.
  •  Under Level 1.5 social distancing, the restrictions imposed, including but not limited to
    • Prohibition of private/non-essential gatherings for 5 people, with exceptions stipulated in the requirements
    • Events involving 500 people shall be discussed with local authority before hosting.
    • Restrictions of operating time for facilities, including theaters, reading rooms, restaurants, cafes and indoor sports facilities have been lifted.
