Government gradually opens up activities to facilitate business operations.


  • With the ease of measures, while working from home remains as the default mode, more employees may return to the workplace, provided that employees work from home at least half of their working time and the workplace should not have more than half of the employees at the workplace at any point of time. Employers are to comply with the Requirements for Safe Management Measures (SMM) at the Workplace.


  • On 22 September, the Singapore Food Agency issued a note to manufacturers or traders exporting food products to China to take not of the emergency measures under “Notification 103” issued by the General Administration of Customs China (GACC) to prevent the importation of COVID-19 through imported frozen food.
  • Any overseas company with product or packaging detected positive for COVID-19 will have its inward declaration suspended for one week. A positive detection of more than three times will have its inward declaration suspended for four weeks.
  • Local manufacturers and traders are reminded to follow the Safe Management Measures and ensure that preventive measures are in place during food production.
