RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE
Reopening of selected destinations in Thailand with no quarantine requirements.
MEASURES
- On 6 July 2021, Thailand announced the reopening of selected destinations in Thailand with no quarantine requirements to fully vaccinated visitors, and they include:
- Surat Thani province on 15 July;
- Krabi, Phang Nga, Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, and Buri Ram on 1 September;
- Bangkok, Phetchaburi, and Prachuap Khiri Khan on 1 October.
- The rest of Thailand is slated to reopen throughout the month of October.
- On 29 June 2021, Thailand officially endorsed measures for Phuket to reopen with no quarantine requirements to fully vaccinated visitors from 1 July onwards. For more details on these measures, please refer here.
- On 26 June 2021, Thailand announced the inclusion of additional provinces under the dark-red zone, which include Nakhon Pathom and Samut Sakhon.
- With the introduction of this zone, the following control measures will take place with effect from 28 June onwards:
- Take-away services are only allowed at restaurants and eateries;
- Shopping malls and department stores can stay open until 21:00 hrs, and will not be allowed to hold any sales promotion activities;
- Construction sites are to close, and the movement of migrant workers will not be allowed for 30 days.
