ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE
New Zealand is at Alert Level 1.
MEASURES
- On 8 June, the government announced that the country will enter Alert Level 1 beginning from 9 June.
- At Alert Level 1, there is no more restriction to work, school, sports and domestic travel. The public and private events can operate as usual. However, some of the measures are still being in place as part of the efforts in preventing the ‘‘second wave’’ of COVID-19. These include controls at the borders and contact tracing.
- For those entering New Zealand, they will be subject to health screening and testing, as well as the 14-day managed quarantine.
- In addition, residents are requested to maintain contact tracing through mobile applications such as NZ COVID Tracer app, SaferMe to keep track of the places that people had visited.
