Trade activities with China affected with closure of land borders.

UPDATES

  • Since early July, China has closed all trade gates with Myanmar. All trade is halted, except for medical supplies and equipment where Myanmar is still allowed to import medical equipment.
  • Traders are seeing rise in cargo transport costs and the impact on shipping has impacts rice exporters in the country.
  • The nation is under lockdown that is imposed from 17 July to at least 8 August .
