The government continues easing restrictions by allowing more economic and social activities to be conducted.


  • On 17 June, the Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced various relaxations, including

    – Meetings, seminars, training and courses can be organised with limited number of participants (250 people)
    – No fixed number of people per table for dining in at restaurant, however, social distancing shall be maintained
    – Face-to-face interviews are allowed for government ministries and agencies
    – Parents are allowed to bring children to public places, including but not limited to shopping malls, playgrounds and restaurants

  • However, these activities shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • In addition, the government reiterated that the cinema will remain closed, as there are no relevant SOPs in place.
