RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE

Lockdown extended to 19 June.

MEASURES

  • A notice was issued on the extension of the preventive and control measures as stipulated under the Prime Ministerial Order No. 15 and other measures that are put in place by relevant authorities.
  • Amidst the lockdown, the government has eased certain measures, especially those that are related to businesses and livelihoods. Supermarkets, minimarts, markets, malls and retail shops are allowed to operate. Dine-in is now permitted in restaurants and eating establishments.
  • Travelling between Vientiane and other provinces is allowed. Travellers that have completed two doses of vaccination can be exempted from the 14-day quarantine.
  • Truck drivers do not have to handle the unloading of goods or switch trucks at the destination province and are not required to be tested or quarantined.
  • International freight and cargo transportation are to comply with COVID-19 preventive measures.
