India MHA issued Advisory for protection of vulnerable sections of society such as women, children, senior citizens and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled tribe.

MEASURES

• While a sharp increase in mortality due to COVID-19, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued the Advisory for protection of vulnerable sections of society such as women, children, senior citizens and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled tribe with the aim to guide local authority for protecting the ‘’vulnerable sections’’ especially children who lost parents due to COVID-19.
• In addition, the Advisory is also requesting an immediate fresh review shall be conducted by the local authority on such facilities to ensure that these facilities are meeting the new challenges amid of COVID-19.
