RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE
India MHA extended the containment measures on COVID-19.
MEASURES
- On 27 May 2021, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced the extension of containment measures on COVID-19.
- The extension will remain in force until 30 June 2021.
- All the states shall comply with the measures stipulated in the Implementation Framework for Community Containment/Large Containment Areas which was previously introduced in April 2021.
- Based on the guidelines, the containment zone will subject to
- Night curfew, where movement of individuals will be strictly prohibited, excluding essential activities.
- All gathering/events for the purpose of social/political/sports/entertainment/academic/cultural/religious/festival are prohibited.
- Public transport is only permitted to operate at maximum capacity of 50%.
- All facilities, such as cinema, restaurants & bars, shopping complexes, etc. shall be closed.
- No restriction in inter-state and intra-state movement including transportation of essential goods.
- All industrial and scientific establishments may be allowed subject to the workforce following physical norms.
