ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE

The Government targets to remove and simplify at least 20%of the number of regulations and reduce at least 20% of compliance costs incurred by businesses to promote development of enterprises.

MEASURES

  • Based on Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP, in the next five years, the Government will look into reducing and simplifying business-related regulations in order to minimise regulations that hinder business operations.
  • Recent survey carried out by the Ministry of Planning and Investment showed that up to 85.7% of businesses have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The Government targets to launch a statistics system this year to manage business regulations more closely and improve staff strength in charge of tabulating compliance costs and evaluating business regulations, as well as better manage the promulgation of new legal documents regulating business operation to prevent the creation of unnecessary and unreasonable regulations.
  • MInistries and governmental bodies are tasked to collect comments sent by businesses to the National Public Service Portal, or via dialogues and consultations to have a list of procedures/regulations that need to be cut or simplified.
