ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE

The Government gradually relaxed social distancing restrictions to help localities resume socio-economic activities.

MEASURES

  • Since last week, non-essential businesses and activities have resumed, with the exceptions of night clubs and karaokes. All establishments are required to observe the requirements for COVID-19 prevention and control. Schools have also reopened.
  • Social distancing on public transportation have been removed. However, passengers are still required to wear face masks.
  • The suspension for inbound foreign nationals is still in effect. Inbound travellers are strictly limited to those with diplomatic or official passports, or coming for special economic projects where they will have to present a COVID-19 free certificate and undergo a 14-day quarantine.
  • Last week, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) put out a proposal for a partial lifting to the suspension on international flights from 1 June.
