RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE
On 28 May, the Ministry of Health announced Phase 2 reopening plans as the country prepares to enter into the first phase of reopening on 2 June.
MEASURES
- Businesses that are allowed to resume operations in the second phase include retail, food and beverage dine-in, personal health and wellness, home-based services, sports and other public facilities.
- Businesses are subjected to safe management measures to be put in place. Further details on sector-specific safe management measures will be provided by relevant agencies.
- Other relaxation measures relate to small group social gatherings and family visits, as well as the full reopening of schools from end of June.
IMPACT ON FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN
- All manufacturing companies that are operating are to establish a COVID-19 Safe Management Programme, as part of the company’s Business Continuity Plans. This includes appointing at least two Safe Management Officers to manage the Safe Management Plan and compliance of the requirements.
