Updates on the exteneded enhance community quarantine
(ECQ) (12 April to 30 April 2020).
MEASURES
- The existing quarantine continues to be in place.
- The movement of people continues to be restricted, and will be only allowed to go out for essential trips.
IMPACT ON FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN
- On 14 April, The Secretary of Agriculture issued a Memorandum Circular to announce the extension of the validity of previously-issued food passes in order to ensure the unhampered food production and movement of all cargoes, agriculture and fishery inputs, food products and agribusiness personnel across the country during this pandemic.
- On 15 April, the National Food Authority assured the public that there is enough supply of rice during the extended ECQ.
- Industry face some delays in terms of paperwork, application and registrations to the governments.
