ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE
China reported spike in COVID-19 cases on border with Myanmar.
MEASURES
- On 20 July 2021, China has reported its highest daily COVID-19 cases since January and this has been caused by a surge in imported infections in Yunnan province.
- Most of the cases are found in Ruili and Longchuan cities.
- Tightened measures have been introduced by the authority to prevent more infections, including nucleic acid testing, strict lockdown, business suspension, and activities restrictions in the affected areas.
