Reopening of border with Thailand causes a rise in daily COVID-19 cases.

- The government decided to lift the lockdown of the seven provinces bordering Thailand after imposing it for two weeks. Daily COVID19 cases increased due to the reopening of border with Thailand on 13 August 2021.
- Workers crossing into the Cambodia will have to undergo a 21-day quarantine.
- In other places, the government decided to lift the lockdown of Siem Reap.
- On 12 August, Cambodia started offering AstraZeneca (AZN.L) as coronavirus vaccine booster shots with the aim to bolster immunity against the COVID-19 Delta variant.
