ENTERING RECOVERY PHASE
Bangladesh to suspend the operation of airlines that carry passengers without COVID-19 negative certificates.
MEASURES
- On 14 December, it was reported that the flight operation of an airline will be suspended for days or weeks if it is found to carrying COVID-19 patient/s.
- In the past, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has requested all flight airlines to refrain from carrying COVID-19 patient/s, however, a few COVID-19 patients were found in one of the flight airlines from Saudi Arabia recently.
- Moving forward, the government will suspend the flight operation if it is found to carrying passengers without COVID-19 negative certificates.
